About Dr. Chelsea

I am a small-town Midwest girl born and raised in rural Troy, Missouri. My journey into holistic healthcare began with my own health journey. Seeking answers to lifelong digestive issues as a teen sparked my passion for understanding natural physiology and how the body functions as God intended.

My dedication to holistic healthcare guided me to the Chiropractic profession. I attended Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge Arkansas, whereI met my wonderful husband, before transferring and completing both my Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences and Doctorate in Chiropractic at Logan University. During my doctoral studies, I became certified in Acupuncture and completed the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) Certified Practitioner coursework. I became certified in the Webster Technique for pregnancy care and completed comprehensive pediatric training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

Like many high-achieving women, my academic journey taught me firsthand about the impacts of chronic stress. I experienced adrenal insufficiency, hormone imbalance, hypothyroidism, and fatigue throughout my time in chiropractic school and beyond. These personal challenges deepened my understanding of women's health and strengthened my commitment to helping others navigate similar struggles.

In June 2022, I opened Abide Functional Wellness in downtown Shawnee, KS, fulfilling my dream of creating a holistic healthcare practice. When my husband became the men's wrestling coach at Central Methodist University in 2023, we embraced the opportunity to join the Fayette community. Here, I established Abide Fayette in a beautiful 1800's Victorian home on Church Street in the heart of our downtown, where I provide comprehensive family chiropractic care with special focus on pediatric and perinatal health.

My lifelong dream has been to live and serve within my community, and I am truly getting that opportunity in Fayette as we build a holistic community of wellness and healing together. At Abide Fayette, we're creating a space where families can thrive through natural, God-centered healthcare.
